Life on Campus

Campus do Mar not only wants to be an emblematic site for knowledge, learning, research and transfer in the marine field but also wishes to be a space for personal and intellectual development growth, and learning to live together. Aspects such as sustainability, equality, sports, culture and social action are particularly relevant in this project of the International Campus of Excellence.

In order to achieve this, a series of complementary activities are available for the use and enjoyment of the Campus do Mar members, that would stimulate their overall development whilst boosting values of living together, solidarity, healthy life-style, culture, sports, etc.

World-class experts in different fields and thematic areas of marine sciences and technologies explain the latest advancements each month in their own particular lines of research, in the Campus do Mar Conference Cycle. Conferences are given as on-campus lectures or direct on the internet via Campus do Mar webTV, making it possible to interact with the speaker over the chat channel.

CampusMar Life is a programme that is comprised of recreational, cultural, and unique sports activities, aimed at ensuring that the sea element is present in the lives of the Campus do Mar users through their leisure activities, thereby strengthening their relationship and interaction with the marine environment.
